Confessions of an Erotic Artist Living the Dream Online

Updated: Jun 6

while also being, so to speak, a family man

When I established my erotic art website in 2002, I had one clear goal.

Since I failed to market my erotica in the 'real world,' I decided to flood the Internet with my art. I thought that whoever did not want to buy my art would get it in his face for free - my kind of logic. 😉

I was really pleased to see people 'stealing' my art and putting my images on their blogs and websites. That was my way of getting noticed. I was updating my website every week (!) with new art and sexy stuff.

After a year, I extended my website content into the adult fiction niche. I started enjoying the written erotica in my visual world. I was living in a cyberworld and 'met' a lot of women (mostly). Some were asking me to make them a sensual or even sexy portrait, depending on how much they dared to expose their bodies. Others were models who offered their sexy photos for my artistic touch.

I met website owners, like me, who wanted to cooperate, and bored housewives who loved writing their sexual fantasies in stories and poems. I gave them a stage and graced their words with my images of erotica.

I lived in two worlds. I was the family man by day and the mysterious erotic artist by night. In this virtual world, I found myself again, at last.

But this virtual world was very demanding. I learned how powerful words can be, for good and bad.

Once, I even had a fight online—in a chatbox! An English lady asked me to host my graphic novel on her website. I agreed, of course, but then I noticed she had changed my title and placed her logo instead. We argued a little about that, each with his/her own ego. But as much as I was patient, she lost her patience and manners and started cursing me, using CAPS and dirty words about me and my mother, etc. I could have simply clicked 'quit conversation,' right?

Wrong.

I was too polite to do that, and I wanted to make peace with her. She refused. I gave up, and we ended the chat. The next day, I canceled our cooperation online.

Unlike this crazy English woman, I met in cyberspace an American angel, a psychologist, and an impressive woman who liked writing bold erotica. She called herself 'Warmspirit’ and does have a real name as well.

She claimed to have already met me in Chicago in 2002, at my first exhibition. I didn't remember her, but it didn't matter. We started the 'Basement Eros' project. She wrote, I added my images, and we were creating a new page of art and lust every week for a few years. Our audience was made up of women who loved reading smut and enjoyed the bold art attached to it.

We became close friends over the years; we talked on the phone, and I even suggested meeting her on one of my trips to the USA. She almost said yes but backed off at the last moment. Somehow, and I'll never know why, she couldn't make this move from cyberspace to real life and be with me, even for just a few days.

Another significant figure in my virtual life was Deni, an amazing adult story writer. We created an online sex advice service together. She was doing most of the work, answering every question seriously. I was only editing the pages online. I've created my 'Sama Sutra' dream book with her poems.

You may say I was living a double life. Say it. I did.

But today I live a normal life, sort of. I work a lot, both in web design, print, and I create more erotic art. I get orders for portraits from women and have learned how to be patient with them through our emails, giving them all the attention and information they need until they decide upon a portrait and place an order.

I put my soul into each portrait because I know it means everything to my client.

So if you need a real touch of art in this virtual world we live in, contact me.

I am real.
